Anxiety Therapy
Helping adults address struggles with anxiety so they can feel better prepared to face life's daily stressors.
What is Anxiety?
Anxiety is a natural and adaptive response that everyone experiences from time to time. It is a normal reaction to stress or a perceived threat. When anxiety becomes excessive, persistent, and interferes with daily life, it may be indicative of an anxiety disorder.

If you are dealing with any of these issues, anxiety therapy can help.

You can't stop the excessive worry, fear, or nervousness.
You keep finding it challenging to control the constant racing thoughts.
You're having symptoms of rapid heart rate, muscle tension, changes in breathing, sweating, or trembling that at times lead to sudden panic attacks.
You have intrusive thoughts about past negative experiences happening again.
You feel fear of being judged or often avoid social situations.
Therapy Treatment for Anxiety
For anxiety treatment, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is used to address distorted thought patterns and behaviors associated with anxiety.
Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy is a therapeutic approach that combines elements of cognitive therapy (focuses on changing negative thought patterns) with mindfulness strategies (which involves cultivating awareness and non-judgmental attention to the present moment). I also assist clients with lifestyles changes to learn better stress management techniques.
